Welcome to Best Birds!

Heavenly Father, as we've learned to walk closer to You, we've grown to trust that You are always beside us to guide and support us. Lord help us to choose to walk with You in all that we do. Help us to seek Your advice and wisdom for our lives. Help us to keep steadily on the path, moving always in Your direction. AMEN.

For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.

~ John 3:16

What are Birds?

Birds (class Aves) are warm-blooded, winged animals that lay eggs.  There are around 10,000 living species of bird, which inhabit ecosystems from the Antarctic to the Arctic.  The smallest bird found is the 5 cm Bee Hummingbird, which differs greatly in size to the 2.7 m Ostrich.

Characteristics of modern birds include feathers, a beak, a high metabolic rate, a lightweight but strong skeleton, and a four-chambered heart.  All birds have wings for forelimbs, and most species are able to fly.  Birds are among some of the most intellectual animal species, especially corvids and parrots.  Some birds have even been observed using self-manufactured tools.

Many social species of birds transfer cultural knowledge across generations.  Some species go on long distance migrations annually, while others perform shorter movements.  Birds are social creatures, with communication methods including calls, songs and visual signals.  The majority of bird species are monogamous.  Birds interact socially in ways such as breeding, flocking and hunting.

What is Best Birds? .... My Story

Hi, My name is Norma Maloney.

Since I can remember I have been a fond lover of birds, in fact all animals, especially dogs and cats.

I now have Sun Conure's, Jenday Conure's, Ringneck's, Plumhead's, Cockatiel's, Budgerigar's,  and  Rainbow Lorikeets.  My birds all have their own names that are to numerous to mention here.   I hand-rear all the chicks, when they are 3 weeks old before selling them to approved buyers only after I make sure they are fully weaned and can fly with fully developed strong muscles in their wings.  I try to keep in touch afterwards, and I encourage the new owner's to give me feedback on all of my babies.
